What’s a primary path and recovery path?

In Liana, you can set up a primary path, which is the normal way you use your wallet for transactions. This can be either a single-signature or a multi-signature setup. Additionally, Liana allows you to create multiple recovery paths.

So, what are recovery paths? These are backup methods that activate if the primary path becomes inactive for a certain period of time (if you haven't made any transactions for a while). In such cases, a different set of keys becomes valid for signing transactions.

This means you can regain access to your funds if you've lost your original keys, or if the original key holder passes away. Someone with access to these recovery keys and the wallet descriptor can then unlock the wallet and authorize transactions.
